Grounded in the NCSM Essential Actions: Framework for Leadership in Mathematics Education, this session will empower you to take a stand for what matters most in math education. Together, we will examine key leadership actions, build capacity to support teachers and students, and connect with inspiring leaders who are shaping the future of learning. This is more than conference, it’s a call to action to embrace a courageous leadership life and make a meaningful impact on student learning and educator growth.

Katey Arrington is a nationally recognized leader in mathematics and STEM education. As the head of programmatic strategy at the Dana Center, she ensures systems deliver modern mathematics, science, and early literacy education to every student. She also served as President the NCSM: Leadership in Math Education, guiding its strategic direction to elevate mathematics teaching and learning nationwide.

Katey represents NCSM on the Conference Board of Mathematical Sciences (CBMS), fostering collaboration among 19 national societies to advance research, education, and the application of mathematics. Her career spans leadership roles in K–12 systems, national STEM initiatives, and classroom teaching, reflecting a deep commitment to equity, innovation, and systemic change in education.
The tentative agenda for the day is shown below (subject to change). Breakfast will be available during registration along with light refreshments throughout along with a 1-hour sponsored lunch. A finalized agenda of the day's activities will be shared as the event gets closer.

Arizona Mathematics Leaders accepts payments via credit card or check.  Your registration is not complete and you do not have a confirmed seat at the conference until your registration is paid in full.

Credit Card: Credit card payments are processed directly through the site at the time of registration by following the on-screen prompts and using the secure Stripe payment.

Purchase Order/Check: If paying by purchase order/check, you may use the Pay Later option and download a copy of the invoice to submit to your organization for payment. Please be sure to include the PO number or the registration names on any checks to ensure payment is associated with your registration. Contact treasurer@azmathleaders.org with additional questions.

Registrations are not finalized until payment has been received in full. 
  • For credit card payments, you will receive a payment confirmation email after submission.
  • For PO/check payments, you do not have a reserved seat at the conference until the check is received.
Cancellations: Cancellations received by January 16, 2026, will receive a 95% refund. After January 16, 2026, registrations can be transferred to another attendee by submitting a written request to treasurer@azmathleaders.org.

Unpaid Registrations: Registrations not paid by January 16, 2026, will be moved to the Waitlist.
